Hiking boots are the most important things that you wear on the hill. Their fit and your comfort are paramount. We recommend that wherever possible you do not buy hiking boots from the website but visit us instore to take full advantage of our specialist boot fitting service.

BOOT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
Level 1 - Everyday use, travel and sight seeing.
Level 2 - Easy tracks, trails and low level path walking.
Level 3 - Peak and Pennine hills and dales, lower Welsh, Lakeland and Scottish hills.
Level 4 - Peak and Pennine high moors, Lakeland, Welsh and Scottish mountains and Winter use with Microspikes.
Level 5 - High mountain winter use with crampons.

Did you know that a lot of boots can be resoled and re-heeled? If you've looked after your boots it is well worth looking into. We use a local company to us based in Chesterfield called Feet First, read about them at Feet First You can deal with them direct but they offer us a priority service, collecting and dropping off to us weekly.
